Mounting the WOO

Prep for Mounting

CLEAN & DRY BOARD
The WOO Mount attaches to your board with a VHB sticker, so before you mount, give your board a rinse with fresh water and dry.

Twintip

To attach the mount to a twintip kiteboard:

  1. Place the mount on the center of your board, running parallel with the long rail. If you use a grab handle, place your WOO so you can still use your handle (we recommend just to the side of the handle - still in the "middle" but slightly to one side or just above.

  2. Use the alcohol swab provided to clean the mounting location and let the board dry.

  3. Remove the backing from the WOO Mount and place on the center of the board. Press firmly to make sure it’s solidly attached.

  4. Clip in your WOO Sensor. Note the BUTTON of the WOO is facing your RIGHT FOOT.

  5. For best results, let the mount set overnight before riding.

Foil Boards

  1. Placement: Before removing the mount's backing, place the mount on the nose of the board, well out of reach of your footpads / straps, with the WOO mount's long side parallel to the rail of the board.
  2. Prep surface: Clean the mounting location with the provided alcohol swab, and let the alcohol dry.
  3. Attach mount: Remove the backing from the WOO Mount, place correctly near nose of board and press firmly for around 30 seconds.
  4. Clip in WOO Sensor: Open O-rings and place WOO sensor in mount, stretching O-rings over sensor and clipping to secure.

Directional

  1. Placement: Before removing the mount's backing, place the mount on the nose of the board, well out of reach of your footpads / straps, with the WOO mount's long side parallel to the rail of the board.
  2. Prep surface: Clean the mounting location with the provided alcohol swab, and let the alcohol dry.
  3. Attach mount: Remove the backing from the WOO Mount, place correctly near nose of board and press firmly for around 30 seconds.
  4. Clip in WOO Sensor: Open O-rings and place WOO sensor in mount, stretching O-rings over sensor and clipping to secure.

Windsurf


  1. Find the Position: Before removing the mount backing, place the mount along the center of the board, just rear of the the mast track.

  2. Check Clearance

    1. Insert / remove your mast base from the track, positioning the WOO mount so that the mast base can enter and exit the track without making contact.
    2. Use painter’s tape to outline the mount position, creating a rectangle space where the mount will stick.

  3. Prep the Surface: Most windsurf boards are textured → you need a flat surface

    Choose one:

    1. (recommended): Lightly sand inside the taped area until smooth/flat. Rinse with fresh water and dry completely
    2. Prep epoxy to bond the WOO mount to the board.

  4. Attach the Mount

    1. Remove sticker backing (VHB adhesive) from the WOO mount
    2. Carefully place within taped area
    3. Press down firmly for ~30 seconds

  5. Final Check

    1. Open mount O-rings and place WOO sensor in mount, stretching O-rings over sensor and clipping to secure.
    2. Confirm no interference with the mount when inserting mast base.
